Z-Wave self-powered weather station.
The multifunctional sensor is powered by a solar cell. Therefore, do not use batteries, so no maintenance. Thanks to the energy management and internal capacitor, the wind sensor sends its measures to Z-Wave controller, even at night.
The internal power manager automatically calculates and sets the alarm interval of 5 minutes (on sunny days) and 1-2 hours on cloudy days. In addition, the energy management is protected against full discharge and thus allows continuous operation for reporting wind gusts, storms or evening, in case of emergency.
This multifunction sensor is able to measure and send multiple values via the Z-Wave controller protocol or automation box:
- Air temperature
- Relative humidity
- Luminous intensity
- Wind speed
- The air pressure
- Dew point
In addition, it can help in the decision to install solar panels or a wind turbine giving an estimate of the performance. Shows the energy delivered by the solar cell. The value is normalized to a solar cell of 1 square meter and reported with 16% efficiency in kWh. To calculate the efficiency of the wind, every eighth rotation is counted and reported as the total pulse.
With Z-time, may cause the closure of the awning and blinds, either through direct partnerships with devices or scenes. Measures ambient light and the solar yield can be used to turn on the outside light at dusk and turn off the light in the morning.
